The Tissot Danica Patrick Limited Edition

Tissot has been a world leader in horology with their consistent forward leaps in innovation and attention to details. Since their inception in 1853, the company has focused on making quality Swiss made watches at much lower price points than other brands using similar techniques. Tissot over the years has built a staunch following that is set to get only bigger with each new release from this exciting brand.

The PRC 200 Danica Patrick Limited Edition for 2013 from Tissot is definitely one of the more chic timepieces for ladies released by the brand at Basel Watch Show earlier this year. The watch is crafted from solid stainless steel and carries dimensions of 34mm in diameter excluding the main crown and chronograph pushers. This watch rides relatively low on the wrist for a chronograph with a case thickness of just 12mm.

The movement powering this piece is the Swiss quartz Caliber G15.211 which is as accurate as it is sturdy. The dial is white and features a triple subdial layout and a date aperture at the 4 o’clock position. The subdial at the 10 o’clock position indicates the running seconds while the subdials at 2 and 6 record the chronograph hours and minutes respectively. The dial uses Arabic numerals with the number 7 as the only hour marker using Super Luminova. The number 7 is special to Danica Patrick as it is her racing number. In keeping with the racing concept, Tissot places a tachymeter on the flange which works with the chronograph and gives a reading of average speed over a given distance.

Tough scratch resistant sapphire crystal is used for the dial window ensuring that this beauty retains its aesthetic appeal for a long time to come. The strap is made from white leather with white saddle stitching. This model is water resistant to a depth of 200 meters (660 feet), making this watch a perfect choice for daily wear.  The case back on this trendy timepiece carries Danica Patrick’s racing logo. This model is limited to 4,999 pieces worldwide.
