The New Chopard Imperiale Collection for Ladies

Chopard releases three new versions for its ever-popular Imperiale collection. Crafted in a 36mm case, these watches are offered in 18kt rose gold and 18kt white gold. The rose gold options account for two of the three variations. The truth is, these new creations add a splash of much-needed color and life into the Imperiale series that, quite frankly, was looking a bit lackluster in comparison to Chopard’s other collections.

All three of the new models are adorned with full-cut, high-quality, round brilliant diamonds on the fixed bezel and lugs, totaling 2.93 carats. As with other Imperiale watches, these timepieces have the Imperiale logo stamped on their brushed case backs. The white gold model is fitted with a blue satin strap, while its two rose gold counterparts feature a white, and a pink satin strap. These are fitted with ardillon buckles, made from metal complementary to the case material. The water resistance on these watches stands at 50 meters. Availability might be the only issue with these new editions, as they will only be sold from Chopard boutiques.

The dials all feature a beautiful shade of mother of pearl, which matches the satin-finished leather strap of each respective watch. The Roman numeral hour markers, and the indexes are set with diamonds, which look like pure magic. What I think is pretty exciting are the shortened, sword-shaped hands, which are partially skeletonized and rhodium toned. This, along with the black Chopard logo just below the 12 position, stands out nicely against the dial.

These mid-sized marvels are powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, made and assembled in Switzerland. These new Chopard Imperiale timepieces feature a balance wheel that vibrates at a standard yet constant 28,000 alternations per hour. Although, no power reserve is officially listed by Chopard, it should be around the 38-42 hour mark.
