The Longines PrimaLuna

Longines has presented the world with many incredible designs over the years, many of which have captured the imagination of countless fans of the brand. Longines has been making timepieces since the early 19th century and actually was the first company in the world to have a registered trademark – the winged hourglass, which still adorns all of Longines’ creations and acts as a stamp of excellence that is known throughout the world.

The PrimaLuma was launched a few years ago and currently stands as the premier ladies’ watch that is offered by this Swiss watchmaker. The case on the model featured today is sculpted from 18kt pink gold, which was chosen due to the fact that pink gold complements the skin tone the best. The case is set with 48 Top Wesselton round brilliant diamonds with a VVS clarity range. The diamonds on the case total just under 20 points. The case carries a diameter of 23mm, making for a very demure lady’s watch.

The bezel holds securely a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, which has several layers of anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal. There are many brands out there that offer anti-reflective coating on both sides but Longines opts to apply it on the underside because even though sapphire crystal is scratch resistant, the anti-reflective coating can be marred compromising the aesthetic value of the watch.

The dial is white and features diamond hour markers and a flawless mother of pearl dial. The diamonds on the dial offer just Wesselton color and VS clarity. The hands are rose gold toned matching the case material. At the 3 position is a date aperture for quick referencing. Powering this watch is an accurate quartz movement. The bracelet on the Longines PrimaLuna is also made from 18kt Pink gold and is outfitted with a triple safety folding clasp with double push button release system. This gorgeous timepiece is water resistant to 30 meters or 100 feet.
