Zenith Looks To The Stars With The Ultra-Thin Moonphase

From the Heritage collection, comes the Ultra-Thin Lady Moonphase. This superbly crafted lady’s watch is a testament to Zenith’s uncanny ability to produce exceptional timepieces. Zenith since its birth in 1865 has received over 2100 awards for their watch designs and movements. Zenith has proven its mettle once again as a serious watchmaker with this ultra-thin watch designed for the woman who does not settle for mediocrity.

The case of this timepiece is crafted from 18k (750) rose gold and is polished to a fine finish with the dial also in rose gold tone that is brushed for an amazing contrast. The dial is brushed outwards from the center giving a flowing look to this model. The dial also features a small seconds register at 9; and has 11 Top Wesselton, VVS1 diamonds as the hour markers.

The title of ultra-thin is given to this model because of its 8.35mm case thickness. For a mechanical watch with a moonphase complication, this is very thin. To put this into perspective, most automatic watches are usually around 14mm without a moonphase. The diameter is 33mm making for a midsized watch.

The movement is the Elite 692 which is, as already stated, self-winding beating at a reliable 28,800 vibrations per hour. This model carries a power reserve of 50 hours. As with all Zenith watches, this ultra-thin lady moonphase is decorated with the Cotes de Genève design on the oscillating weight. This design can be seen clearly through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back on the watch.

The complication that sets this piece apart is the moonphase that is located at the 6 o’clock position. This moonphase is one of the few on the market today that can be adjusted through the main crown. Moonphase watches as the name suggests reveal the phase of the moon and work off of a 29.5 day cycle. This watch can be perfectly paired with the Captain men’s collection. The rose gold version of this watch uses a shiny brown alligator strap equipped with an 18k rose gold pin buckle. The Zenith Ultra-Thin Lady Moonphase is water resistant to 3 ATM and retails for $11,400 USD.
