The Tissot T Touch Expert Solar

Tissot first launched the T Touch in 1999, and it was a massive success with scores of persons in love with the outdoors getting this revolutionary tactile controlled wristwatch. 15 years later, Tissot is ready to launch another version to the T Touch line. This new model presented at Baselworld earlier this year is solar powered allowing this watch the ability to continually replenish its energy once around a light source. The rays of sunlight not only charge the watch but also give the Super-LumiNova® charge so that it glows in the dark.

The case is very sleek in its design and it is crafted from titanium. Titanium is noted in its practical applications as being both stronger and lighter than stainless steel. These two properties make this watch the perfect companion for daily wear and any and all outdoor activities. The lugs holding the rubber strap are angular giving this timepiece a very sporty aesthetic. The strap is also given a sporty aesthetic with its structured feel. The main crown and pushers are coated with black PVD, while the pushers themselves offer the wearer an ergonomic design for ease-of-use. The black PVD bezel is fixed and features the Arabic numerals of 3, 6, 9, and 12 at those respective positions.

The dial resembles carbon fiber but in actuality is the solar panel where the watch derives its energy. This timepiece carries both an analog and digital display for the myriad of functions. All of the functions are operated by touching the anti-reflective sapphire crystal at six points along the edges. Functions for this splendid timepiece include: a perpetual calendar, two alarms: one for weekdays and another for weekends, two additional time zones, weather forecast based on barometric pressure, altimeter, chronograph with laps indication, compass, azimuth, regatta function, and a backlight. The Tissot T Touch Expert Solar is water resistant to 100 meters or 330 feet.
