There is a new Kilada Tourbillon from Hysek. The watch was released at Baselworld 2014 to Hysek’s appreciative fans. This model is offered in a strikingly polished and satin finished 18kt rose gold case. The distinguishing characteristic of this case is its gentle curve, which has been noted to be reminiscent of a bridge.
The large main crown shoots out from the middle case where it boasts a ridged ring allowing for the effortless winding and setting of the watch. Along the middle case are circular apertures that reveal glimpses of the movement.
Securing this timepiece is a brown alligator leather strap, chosen for its complementary effect against the rose gold tone of the case. This strap is fastened using a folding clasp made also from 18kt rose gold. As the name suggests, this model carries a diameter of 41mm. This timepiece is water resistant to 30 meters.
The dial on this model uses a special Bordeaux toned transparent sapphire crystal, which evinces the in house movement. The dial is partially skeletonized revealing the inner workings of the flying tourbillons at 5 o’clock. On the opposite side is a well-crafted micro-rotor in gold. This model actually is fitted with a double micro-rotor, with the one on reverse side in platinum.
The only Arabic numerals found on this model are at the 11 and 1 positions, with Hysek’s logo occupying the 12 position. The hands carry Super-LumiNova for the readability of the time at night. The new Hysek Kilada 41mm Tourbillon features a scratch resistant sapphire crystal that protects the dial.
This addition to the Kilada range is driven by an in house Hysek caliber HW05, which is a self-winding mechanical movement. The movement contains 25 jewels and beats at a reliable 28,800 alternations per hour. The movement, comprised of 252 components, has a power reserve of 45 hours. The Hysek Kilada 41mm Tourbillon is made in a very exclusive series of just 8 pieces across the world.
