The Movado SE Pilot Chronograph Watch

Movado has always been a brand that has made its own mark with designs that are all their own. So identifiable are Movado watches that their biggest success – the Museum Watch earned a place in the Museum of Modern Art, hence why it is called the Museum watch. The iconic bracelet of the Sports Edition models was first released in a series of watches produced in the early 80’s called Imperiale.

The Movado SE Pilot Chronograph is a classic looking aviation themed chronograph. The watch is crafted from solid, hypoallergenic stainless steel, satin finished and polished in the fashion of the Sports Edition line. The case measures in at 42mm, which is considered an excellent size. Though this watch is a chronograph it echoes a very dressy style. This collection features a chronograph model with silver and black dial variations, and a three hand model also with silver and black dial variations.

The bezel is quite thin, which gives the dial a larger look. This style is common in many pilot’s watches. The pushers and main crown are small and blend into the case very well. Movado uses a stainless steel bracelet, fastened with a double push button release double folding clasp. This watch is made for daily wear with a water resistance of 30 meters (100 feet).

Inside the Movado SE Pilot Chronograph is a Swiss quartz chronograph movement used due to the exceptional accuracy of those types of movements. The dial features a rhodium toned hands and hour markers, with the markers at 3, 6, and 9 displayed using Arabic numerals. The hands are fitted with lume for legibility at night. This chronograph can time any event up to 10 hours. At the 9 position is the true seconds counter, while the totalizers for the chrono minutes and hours can be found at the 3 and 6 positions respectively. Completing this classy timepiece is a date aperture at the 4 o’clock position. Movado offers a two year international guarantee with the purchase of this watch.
