The Longines Heritage 1935

Although originally intended for wear by those in Aviation professions, it is easy to see why the Longines Heritage 1935 became such a success within the mainstream population. Classic styling, sleek details, and visual appeal in spades leave you with the impression that this is a must-have timepiece for your collection.

Under the hood, the Heritage 1935 is equipped with a mechanical, self-winding movement—the L615, which is a modified ETA 2895/2. The balance wheel puts out a standard 28,800 vibrations per hour, keeping this piece moving accurately. The autonomy of this retro inspired timepiece stands at 42 hours.

The square, cushion-shaped case features polished stainless steel on every surface, true to the original inspiration piece. Each corner is crisp, and overall the look is very clean. The fixed bezel is highlighted by a distinct fluted finish, which adds an element of interest to this otherwise understated watch. Coming in at 42 mm wide, this Heritage piece will make a presence on any sized wrist. To finish the look, the Heritage 1935 is fitted with a black, alligator leather strap, complete with white contrast stitching. The strap ends in a polished stainless steel ardillon clasp. This Longines watch is water resistant to 30 meters or 3 Bars, making this great for wear at formal occasions or for everyday wear.

The sleek, analog dial is made for effortless legibility. A matte, jet black background lets the numerals take center stage. Painted bright white, eleven oversived Arabic numerals mark the hours, with the remaining position featuring a date aperture at 6 o’clock. Sharing the 6 o’clock position, is a subdial dedicated to the continuous seconds. All the numerals are painted with Super-LumiNova for easy reading in low light conditions. The pear shaped, skeletonized hands are silver-toned and coated with Super-LumiNova as well. A synthetic sapphire crystal resists scratches, ensuring the maintenance of the aesthetic values of this timepiece.
