The Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase Ladies Collection

The famous Swiss manufacturer of luxury timepieces, Frederique Constant, presents its latest collection of ultimately feminine ladies’ watches. The Slimline Moonphase Ladies Collection, unites one of the most romantic complications with delicate slender design, which is suitable for slimmer wrists. The new range delivers a wealth of diamonds, combined with precious metals and rare, glistening mother of pearl. These exceptional materials are rendered into six new made models and joined with the FC-206 quartz caliber five-jewel movement that propels hours and minutes hands, as well as the charming moon-phase indicator.

The moon-phase indicator is a romantic, emotional complication, which is pretty much useless in the everyday life. The purpose of this whimsical addition to the watch movement is to inform the wearer about the current phase of the Moon – which is something that we can easily find out just by looking up at the sky. The moon-phase indicator is presented via rotating disk that mirrors the illuminated part of the Moon, as seen from Earth. Since the new Moon rises every 29.53 days, this is the exact amount of time in which the moon-phase disk completes its full rotation.

On the Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase Ladies watch, the moon-phase indicator is shown via the aperture at 6 o’clock position. This opening in the mother-of-pearl dial represents the apparent line that separates earth from sky. The deep blue disk, decorated with tiny stars, rotates underneath the dial, to illustrate the phases of the Moon, as it waxes or wanes. The delicate hands, for time-telling function, and the moon-phase indicator, are both adjustable through a single crown.

The Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase Ladies Collection embraces two stainless steel models with yellow gold plating, and four steel models in the natural color of this metal. The gold-plated models are mounted on either a beige leather strap (FC-206MPWD1S5) or on a gold-plated bracelet (FC-206MPWD1S5B). The steel models are presented on either dark blue leather strap (FC-206MPWD1S6) or steel bracelet (FC-206MPWD1S6B).

Finally, there are two exclusive diamond-set models, each graced with 0.56 carat of diamonds. On both these exclusive watches, the gems are skillfully arranged around the dial perimeter. What makes them different one from another is that the first comes on a black leather strap (FC-206MPWD1SD6), while the second one features a stainless steel bracelet (FC-206MPWD1SD6B).

If you’re looking for an entry-level luxury watch, Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase Ladies Collection might be just what you’re looking for. The new models are very affordable, starting at just CHF 920 for the basic stainless steel model, while the diamond-set models retail at just CHF 2’250.
