Andy Murray Sports the New Rado Hyperchrome Court Collection Green

Andy Murray has been seen lifting his last two trophies with a certain timepiece adorning his wrist. Upon further examination, it turned out to be none other than the Rado Hyperchrome Court Collection Green.

Just recently, Rado was the official timekeeper of the Aegon International in Eastbourne (June 9th – 15th) and the Aegon Classic in Birmingham (June 14th – 21st) at the famous Queen’s Club. The Hyperchrome Court Collection comes in three versions – one for each of the types of court that tennis is played on. These include green for grass courts, orange for clay courts, and blue for hard courts.

The Hyperchrome Court Collection Green is made from black Ceramos®, which is comprised of high tech ceramic coated over stainless steel. On this model, there are stainless chrono pushers and inserts along the middle case. The main crown is stainless steel coated with black rubber, which matches the black ceramic case. The case measures in at 45mm across.

The three-piece bracelet is also made from a similar material as the case and fastens using a triple folding crown made from Grade II titanium – a material that is known for its superior strength and lightweight properties. This gent’s watch from the Court collection is water resistant to 100 meters, perfect for daily wear. The case back is crafted from transparent sapphire crystal so that the wearer can admire the automatic movement.

The black dial on this watch features green Super-LumiNova® coated hands and hour markers, which not only allows for readability at night but also just looks really cool. The three subdials are all oversized for quick readouts of the chronograph and small seconds. At the 4:30 position is a neat date aperture.

The movement used is the ETA 2894-2 self-winding mechanical caliber. This movement carries a power reserve of 42 hours and  it beats at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
