Maîtres du Temps Chapter Two Classique

The Maîtres du Temps Chapter Two Classique, also called the CTC, is made 5 years after the first Chapter Two watch. This timepiece has achieved a legibility for its calendar that is unrivaled in the watchmaking world. This is expertly achieved by the presence of cylinders at the 6 and 12 positions just above the lugs, which display the day of the week and the month respectively. The date is displayed through a large double date window at 12 on the dial.

The case is featured in a tonneau case shape that reflects the Art Deco design used in the creation of this model. The watch comes in two versions – an 18kt white gold, and an 18kt red gold edition. Both versions are highly polished and are fitted on black alligator straps, secured using single deployant buckles.

At the 2 position is a corrector for the large date, while the month and day cylinders are adjusted by correctors on the case back. So that there is no chance of confusion, Maîtres du Temps engraves ‘month’ and ‘day’ next to the corresponding correctors. The case is comprised of 49 components and features case dimensions of 58mm X 42mm X 16mm. There are 6 anti-reflective sapphire crystals covering both sides of the watch.

The opaline black dial features beveled indexes and sharp dauphine shaped hands, both in 18kt gold. The day and month cylinders are crafted from black anodized anticorodal aluminum. At the 6 position on the dial is a prominent small seconds counter.

Through the exhibition case back one can admire the self-winding mechanical movement caliber SHC01. The movement carries a gorgeous skeletonized oscillating weight made from 22 karat gold. The rotor is shaped like a goblet, which is symbolic of a central point to which all of the talents of the various artisans are poured, creating this and other masterpieces from this esteemed watchmaker.

The autonomy on this model stands at 50 hours, while the balance wheel vibrates at a constant 28,800 oscillations per hour. This incredible movement is made up of 338 individual parts and features finishes such as Côtes de Genève, sun-ray, perlage, beveling, colimaçonnage, and polished screw heads.
