Tissot Reveals Excellence With The T-Complication Squelette

The Tissot Company has positioned itself in the market as a brand that produces high quality Swiss horological instruments while still remaining competitive in their pricing structure. Tissot is one of the older Swiss watchmakers with workshops dating as far back as 1853. Tissot, as a brand, has grown from strength to strength and has amassed a following of loyal consumers who are looking for reliable Swiss made watches without the supercharged price tags that normally accompany such items. The T-Complication Squelette represents a bold move by the brand to cross the line into haute Horlogerie.

The T-Complication by this watchmaking giant is made from finely brushed stainless steel. The case measures in at a manly 43mm in diameter (excluding the crown) and rides low on the wrist with a case thickness of just 12.99mm. As the name suggests, the T-Complication Squelette is a Skeletonized watch with its movement, the 6497-1 on display on both sides of this stunning timepiece.  Skeletonized watches don’t have a conventional dial and are some of the most sought after pieces in watchmaking.

Tissot uses antireflective sapphire crystal which is highly scratch resistant and is designed to show off the intricacies of the movement for years to come. As with most Skeleton watches, the T-Complication Squelette is a mechanical manual wound watch. The main crown is textured enabling the easy winding of this superb watch. The hands are made of blued steel and they are partially skeletonized in keeping with the theme of the watch. Half of the hands are coated with lume making possible the reading of the time even during low light conditions. Apart from the hands, there is a subsidiary seconds dial at the 9 o’clock position. The hour markers and minute track occupy the flange making the movement the highlight.

This model is water resistant to 50 meters (5 bars) and is therefore only suited to very short interactions with water. This dressy timepiece uses black crocodile pattern leather with double push release folding clasp which only adds to its dressy appeal. Tissot guarantees this watch for 2 years and retails it for USD $1950, which is a truly fantastic price for what you are getting.
