Versace Versus Aventura

The Versace Versus Aventura

Released in March of this year, the Versus Aventura is a striking timepiece made by Versace – one of the greatest fashion houses that the world has ever seen. The aesthetics of this model echoes the spirit of adventure and Versace’s desire to push the envelope in contemporary watchmaking. This watch is powerful in many aspects and functional in many more.

The case of this timepiece is crafted from satin finished stainless steel with yellow gold ion plated accents. The case measures in at 45mm across (not including the main crown). Perhaps the nicest thing about this watch is the yellow gold ion plated knurled bezel, which features 6 Allen bolts. Versace doesn’t remain there but also adds the yellow gold toned knurled effect the central links on the bracelet. In my opinion, the yellow gold ion plating looks simply smashing against the contrasting satin finished steel. The bracelet is given a diver’s extension and is secured with a single deployant clasp. The main crown is textured for the easy handling of the functions and the setting of the time. The crown also features a crown guard, which protects this area against damages induced by impacts. This model is water resistant to a depth of 50 meters or 5 Bars, which makes this great for daily wear.

The dial is silvered with yellow gold toned indexes and Arabic numeral 12 for the hour markers. Also in yellow gold tone are the hands, which feature lume for the legibility of the time at night. The dial also carries three black subdials displaying the date, the continuous seconds, and the chrono-minutes at the 6, 10, and 2 positions respectively. Between the 8 and 9 positions is the Versus logo in yellow gold tone. Completing the dial is a tachometric scale on the flange. Powering this timepiece from Versace is a quartz mechanism, chosen for its accuracy and reliability.
