The Rado Hyperchrome Quartz Jubilé S

Rado was first joined the Swatch group in 1983, where it has remained ever since. By the mid 90’s, Rado was prolific with its usage of high tech materials espescially ceramic as evidenced with its release of the DiaQueen, which was made from ceramic, gold, and diamonds. Since then ceramic has been used extensively by Rado. Rado launched the Hyperchrome in 2012. This was the first monobloc construction using ceramic.

The Hyperchrome collection gets a new look with this Jubilé S model, which is made in an uncharacteristic stainless steel case. Rado does bring this design home with Ceramos accents in yellow gold tone. The Ceramos aspect of this watch is scratch resistant. Rado is uncompromising when it comes to design excellence and the Hyperchrome Quart Jubilé S does not disappoint.

The case is delivered in a well-sized 31.5mm, categorized as petite for ladies. Protecting the dial is a highly scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Sapphire ranks a 9 on the MoH’s Scale of Hardness, seconded only to Diamond, which comes in at a 10. The main crown is mostly smooth with a textured ring at the top, allowing for the effortless setting of the time. As this is a quartz watch the case back is solid, where it aids in the water resistance of 50 meters or 5 bars. The bracelet is constructed using a three piece link setup and is fastened with a double folding clasp also known as a butterfly clasp.

The dial is lacquered with mother of pearl and it features 12 full cut, Top Wesselton, round brilliant diamonds representing the hour markers. The hands are yellow gold toned, baton shaped with Super-LumiNova coating for optimal legibility under all lighting conditions. At the 3 o’clock position is a conservative date aperture. Rado has a two year international gurantee for the Hyperchrome Quartz Jubilé S.
