The Pinky by Tissot

The Pinky by Tissot is a bold statement from this Swiss watch manufacturer. The Pinky is a watch unlike anything that we’ve seen in the past from Tissot. Its demure and delicate shape is a far cry from the tough durable sports watches that Tissot has been famous for since their beginnings in 1853. The collection comes in a range of options from all stainless steel to bimetal and even a solid 18Kt gold version.

The model featured here is crafted from solid, hypoallergenic stainless steel and 18Kt yellow gold, both of which are polished to a lustrous finish. The watch is styled to resemble a bracelet with its wide, looping circular links attached by a bar of gold. Tissot shows off its fabled logo – a stylized capital T, on the bezel at both the 12 and 6 o’clock positions. The case dimensions for this chic watch come in at 27.95mm for the diameter. This watch sits very flat on the wrist only rising a mere 6.49mm off the wrist. The main crown allows for quick adjustments to the date and time due to its ridges.

The dial is made using the finest Mother of Pearl. The Mother of Pearl often contains hints of blues and purples which are trademarks of the rare Akoya clams from the South Seas. The yellow gold toned, applied hour marker at twelve is displayed in Arabic numerals, while the markers at 3, 6, and 9 are applied indexes. In keeping with the gold elements, the baton hands are also gold toned. Completing the dial is a rather small, inconspicuous date aperture at 3 o’clock.

The Pinky by Tissot carries a Swiss made quartz movement Calibre F03.111. The crystal protecting the dial is crafted from sapphire which is highly scratch resistant. Securing the watch is a jewelry clasp which is used in many watches with a delicate countenance. This watch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet) and is backed with Tissot’s 2 year international guarantee.
