The Graham Chronofighter Oversized Superlight Carbon, as its name suggests, is a large watch by any standard with a diameter of 47mm. Even though it is large this superlative timepiece weighs under 100 grams. Already I think this is quite impressive.
The case is made from black carbon nanotube composite with a black carbon start/stop pusher and a reset pushpiece made from black rubber. Both of the pushers feature “Clous de Paris” texturing for a greater tactile experience. On this model the pushers and the main crown are located at the 9 position, making this watch a ‘lefty’. Though this is not rare for Graham, this design element really sets this Chronofighter apart (in a good way).
Also in black carbon is the stationary bezel, which holds securely the transparent, scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The case back is also equipped with a smoked sapphire crystal allowing the wearer to glimpse the prodigious self-winding movement.
The Graham Chronofighter Oversized Superlight Carbon is fitted with a stunning integrated red rubber strap that also features the Clous de Paris motif, fastened with an ardillon buckle made from black carbon. This timepiece is water resistant to 100 meters or 10 Bars.
Powering this handsome gent’s watch is the caliber G1747 automatic movement. The movement is fitted with an Incabloc shock absorption system, which protects the movement from damages due to impacts. The balance wheel on this model oscillates at 28,800 alternations per hour, which is standard for Graham’s timepieces.
It is almost no surprise that the dial is made from black carbon but Graham turns around and makes it special through the inclusion of green Super-LumiNova® Arabic numeral markers and hands. Adding more color to the dial are the red chronograph indicators and small seconds hand. On the flange is a graduated tachometric scale, which is used to determine the average speed over a set distance.
