The GoS Bifrost Isbla is the first dress watch from this watch brand. It is also the first watch that uses Damascus steel, which is a high quality patterned-welded steel created by Johan Gustaffson. The name Bifrost is named after the Rainbow Bridge in Norse mythology. This bridge was believed to connect the realms of Midgard and Asgard. The Isbla is the first model in the Bifrost collection and is limited to 25 pieces. Due to the nature of the steel, each model is unique in its aesthetics. Currently, there is only one design but GoS promises more color themes in the future.
The case of this timepiece is made in dimensions of 42.5mm for the diameter, and it lays flat on the wrist with a case height of 9.5mm. On the case middle towards the 9 position is the GoS logo. The main crown is also crafted from Damascus steel and uses a double gasket feature to protect against the entry of moisture. Water resistance on this timepiece is 50 meters (5 Bars). The Bifrost Isbla is outfitted with a soft nubuck black leather strap, which has been hand-crafted and secured with a stainless steel pin buckle.
The dial is made from a solid block of Damascus steel, which is colored blue reminiscent of the patterns made by a solid block of ice. The hands and index ring are made from 18kt white gold that has been shaped and polished by hand. The dial is incredibly legible do to the high contrast of all the elements used. Protecting the dial is a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, which has been glare-proofed.
The GoS Bifrost Isbla features a transparent exhibition case back, which allows the wearer to admire the highly decorated triskele shaped oscillating rotor. There is also a circular Geneva decorations on the main plate. Powering this amazing watch is a self-winding mechanical movement caliber Soprod A10. This model is delivered in a classical presentation box with Scandinavian markings and is protected by a two year guarantee.
