The Ghost Watch From Jacob & Co

The brand Jacob & Co was quite prolific in the mid 2000’s but recently has been quiet in the watch arena. That is until the release of the Ghost collection with Ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo. If you’ve never heard Cristiano Ronaldo, then let me be the first to tell you that he is currently the most iconic football (soccer) player in the world. Ronaldo currently plays in La Liga for Real Madrid. This year the footballer has teamed up with Jacob & Co to promote the Ghost collection.

The case of the ghost is shaped in to a pentagon which sits on the wrist at an angle that is not quite inverted. The Pentagonal case measures 47mm going across. The case material is black PVD stainless steel. The Phosphor Vapor Deposition acts to make the steel stronger and slightly more scratch resistant. PVD is bonded at the molecular level ensuring that the color of the case won’t peel or fade with time.

Each of the 4 pushers and main crown are micro-blasted and feature the brand’s logo on the head in relief. The bezel on the model featured here is adorned with a single row of diamonds. Diamonds also serve as borders for each of the 5 time zones that this watch features. The bezel is interchangeable with an 18kt rose gold one which also carries diamonds. Jacob & Co uses diamonds that are VVS clarity range and Top Wesselton in color. This piece carries a total weight of 3.29 carats over 110 diamonds.

Driving this watch forward is an accurate JCDQ01 quartz movement with 20 GMT time zones. The watch carries 4 preset screen with world times, while the fifth screen shows local time in your preferred city, plus the day, date, and remaining battery power. The display colors are red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and purple. The strap is crafted from smooth vulcanized rubber fitted with a single deployant clasp also made from black, polished PVD stainless steel. The Ghost collection offers a 2 year warranty.
