Radamel Falcao Rocks the Hublot Classic Fusion Crown Aero Falcao

It should come as no surprise that Radamel Falcao rocks the Hublot Classic Fusion Crown Aero Falcao. This world renowned Colombian soccer player recently persuaded Hublot to donate USD $100,000 to the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) based on the 100 watches created being sold.

On top of all this, the UNODC also receives money from the sales of the special edition Classic Fusion Aero Falcao in King gold (18t rose gold). In this vein, Radamel Falcao joins the elite ranks of sports personalities like Usain Bolt and NBA superstar Kobe Bryant who have made and facilitated donations to social causes in impoverished countries.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Crown Aero Falcao comes in two versions – the aforementioned King gold and in titanium. As with most Classic Fusion models, this timepiece is featured in 45mm case diameter. The case back is transparent sapphire crystal where the wearer can admire the movement. The Classic Fusion Aero Falcao worn by Radamel Falcao Garcia carries a water resistance of 50 meters or 5 ATM. The bracelet on the King gold version is crafted from brown Hornback alligator leather secured using a folding clasp also made from King gold. The titanium Falcao uses a black Hornback alligator leather with a steel folding clasp.

The dial is skeletonized with King gold accents and Falcao’s signature seen just above the date at the 6 position on both versions. The King gold hands and index hour markers contrast very nicely against the dark skeletonized dial for the optimal legibility. At the 9 position is the chronograph minutes counter. The chrono seconds are indicated through a central hand. Completing the dial is a continuous seconds subdial at the 3 o’clock position.

Both editions are powered by the self-winding caliber HUB 1155. This movement carries a standard power reserve of 42 hours.
