Breitling for Bentley 24 Hour Limited Passes The Competition

This year, the Bentley series adds a new timepiece to its lineup – the Breitling for Bentley 24 Hours Limited Edition. This timepiece not only commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Birth of Breitling for Bentley but also the historic finish at the Le Mans 24 hour race in which the Bentley finished in first and second place.

This watch from Breitling is created in solid, satin finished stainless steel and features the iconic bezel of the Breitling for Bentley series. The bezel is bidirectional and is used to determine all the calculations needed in any race. This is made possible by the modified slide rule on the internal rotating bezel.

The watches are limited to 288 pieces worldwide with 48 pieces being made for each of the 6 limited edition Le Mans cars released by Bentley. These include the Mulsanne Le Mans Edition; Continental GT W12 Speed Le Mans Edition; Continental GT W12 Le Mans Edition; Continental GT V8 Le Mans Edition; Continental GT W12 Convertible Le Mans Edition; Continental GT V8 Convertible Le Mans Edition.

The case back is engraved with the Bentley Flying B logo. The movement on this model is the Calibre BO2 which is completely manufactured in house. The movement for this model is mechanical hand wound which is a rarity among Breitling’s creations. This timepiece carries a power reserve of 70 hours. The chronograph uses a column wheel and a vertical coupling clutch which means that when the chronograph is engaged it doesn’t affect the watch’s main timekeeping functions.

The Bentley 24 hours has a carbon fiber dial which shows off the 24 hour dial in homage to the legendary 24 hour race. This limited edition Bentley watch is chronometer certified by the COSC as is 100% of all Breitling’s watches. Breitling remains one of the few independent watchmakers around and is poised to continue to deliver excellence in the world of horology.
