Vacheron Constantin Releases 4 Limited Editions in Celebration of Opening the Moscow Boutique

Moscow is the home of the newest flagship boutique for world renowned brand Vacheron Constantin. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Swiss brand has released 4 limited editions of existing watches in its collection. Each of watches is made in a white metal with a black dial and a black alligator leather strap.

The new boutique occupies 352 square meters, where enthusiasts and newcomers to the brand alike can come and experience the excellence that Vacheron Constantin offers in their timepieces. Apart from the 4 limited edition models, there will also be a “Vacheron Constantin’s Treasures” collection that will be exhibited. Included in that collection on display are collectibles like the King Fouad I watch from 1929, and the Tour D’Île timepiece from 2005.

The Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle Calibre 2253 Moscow Boutique Unique Timepiece

The first piece that we’ll look at today is a true gem of Haute Horology. The Traditionelle Calibre 2253 Moscow Boutique Unique Timepiece, as the name suggests, is made in only one example, and is the crown jewel of this set of 4 limited edition pieces.

The case of this watch is crafted from 950 platinum and is fitted with a 60-second tourbillon. Though this watch heavily complicated, it is not a Grande Complication as it does not include a chiming mechanism. Having said that, this timepiece is still a work of immense mechanical mastery. Other complications include an equation of time that gives mean solar time, a perpetual calendar, and the sunrise and sunset times for the city of Moscow. This exclusive timepiece carries an autonomy of 14 days, and it features the coveted Hallmark of Geneva, also known as the Poinçon de Genève. This model carries a case dimension of 44mm in diameter.

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Moscow Edition 30 Piece Limited Edition

This edition is made in 18kt white gold, polished to a lustrous finish. The case size for the Patrimony Perpetual Calendar stands at 41mm, and it features a case height of just 8.9mm thick (quite exceptional for an automatic watch with this level of complexity). The 1120QP caliber in this watch also carries the Hallmark of Geneva accolade.

The dial is very neat, and even though there are three subdials and a moon phase aperture it still feels totally uncluttered and balanced. This boutique edition timepiece from Vacheron Constantin is limited to just 30 pieces.

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Retrograde Day and Date Moscow Edition 20 Piece Limited Edition

Also made in 18kt white gold, this contemporary timepiece from watchmaking legend Vacheron Constantin comes in an exclusive series of just 20 models. I’ve always been a fan of retrograde displays and I can’t think of a single instance that I have seen a classier layout. The date retrograde scale on the Patrimony Day and Date occupies the 9 – 3 positions and is indicated by a central arrow tipped hand. The day of the week scale is located at the 6 position. Both retrograde scales are carefully proportioned to deliver the best aesthetic value on this superior timepiece.

The Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle Moscow Edition 30 Piece Limited Edition

Made to just 30 pieces, this model from the Traditionelle collection is featured in an 18kt white gold 41mm case. The dial on this watch is slate grey with a fine, detailed guilloche pattern. The rhodium toned hands are beveled dauphine shaped, which gives this model a very dressy and formal aesthetic.

The movement on this watch is self-winding mechanical and it features a caliber that is ultra-thin (2.85mm thick).

Each model is presented with matching 18kt white gold cufflinks corresponding to the various dials.
